SRTĀ® DEVELOPED POWERTRAIN
The SRT® developed powertrain delivers top output and consistent performance for extended driving sessions, even in the most gruelling of environments. Stratospheric power and performance numbers were achieved in part through a new, innovative high-performance dual-path air induction system that feeds massive amounts of air to the supercharger. A TRX®-specific power-domed aluminium hood helps clear the engine’s extra height. A robust cast-iron block restrains a forged-steel crankshaft with induction-hardened bearings, all engineered to withstand firing pressures of 1,595 psi—the equivalent of 20,000 lb of force. Launch control as standard and 8 different drive modes ensure that no matter where you’re heading, you’ll have full command over your terrain.

EXTREME PERFORMANCE AESTHETIC DESIGN
The all-new RAM TRX® features an aggressive stance and an impossibly wide, muscular body wrapped over the top of it. Like a mixed martial arts fighter in a tailored tuxedo, the RAM TRX® makes an impactful visual statement with an acute “hourglass” body design that features composite flares and fender wells that have been stretched to cover aggressive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler® Territory 325/65/R18 All-Terrain tyres. Design elements, like the unique and functional hood scoop is responsible for half of the air entering the 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI® V8 engine while the other half enters through the grille. The innovative intake system is engineered to minimise power-robbing air restrictions while ensuring only clean, cool air reaches the engine, and quickly. Further enhancing the visual impact, oversized tow hooks at the front and rear of the truck, and integrated 5-inch dual exhaust ports drive the functional performance objective home.
ENGINEERED FOR EXTREME CAPABILITY
Designed bolt by bolt to handle and conquer the most punishing conditions with extreme capability and durability, structural components have been meticulously considered. The frame is composed of thicker, optimally shaped, strategically placed high-strength steel and to protect critical components including the front axle, transfer case, transmission pan and fuel tank, the TRX® employs five skid plates. The use of lightweight, high-strength aluminium for the hood and tailgate assist in reducing weight and boosting fuel economy. An all-new suspension system features upgraded components to provide enhanced performance and improved endurance. An independent front suspension system with active damping includes new front upper and lower control arms with special attention paid to the caster and camber angles during suspension cycling. The new rear suspension system with active damping and an exclusive five-link coil system provides for incredible ride characteristics, durability, and better articulation over obstacles than a leaf-spring system. The Bilstein® Black Hawk® e2 adaptive performance shocks have been tuned to demonstrate the optimum balance between on-road handling and class-leading off-road capability. A Dana 60® rear axle with full floating axle shafts is standard and handles the increased torque output, rear electronic locking differential and 35” tyres. This rear axle uses an axle hop damper that gives improved traction and axle control on rough surfaces. Off-road, the RAM TRX® will race to 160km/h with ease, and the segment’s largest brakes will bring it to a composed halt.
PERFORMANCE-INSPIRED LUXURY
The new RAM TRX® combines all-new features, technology and authentic premium materials with extreme performance, class-leading quality, comfort and durability. The interior design team carefully selected premium textures, colours and materials, including hand-wrapped leather, greystone stitching, carbon fibre, and graphite metallic accents, for unexpected luxury throughout. Based on the luxurious RAM 1500 Limited interior, the all-black colour-scheme with leather and suede give the TRX® a distinguished look and feel. Heated and ventilated premium Natura Plus leather and suede accents cover the front bucket and rear bench seats. RAM TRX® features new front seats with enhanced upper bolster support and embroidered logos. For the first time ever on a RAM Truck the TRX® features a new SRT®-signature flat-bottom steering wheel, with enhanced hand grips wrapped in leather with suede and carbon fibre accents, enabling performance driving at your fingertips. New aluminium paddle shifters stretch above and below the steering wheel spokes, allowing the driver to choose the proper gear quickly and efficiently for a dynamic driving experience. Rounding out the ultimate crew cab is none other than an audiophile-quality sound system with a class-exclusive 900 Watt premium Harman Kardon® audio system with 19 speakers, including a 10" subwoofer to deliver the finest and most powerful audio experience in a pickup truck.
PERFORMANCE-TUNED INNOVATION AND TECH
Offering no less than 8 dynamic drive modes, the TRX® utilises performance-tuned software to pre-configure and distinguish five on-road, and 3 off-road modes, allowing the driver to choose a setting that best fits the terrain around them. The drive modes separately control the four-wheel-drive system, throttle response, transmission, paddle shifters, suspension, and the electric power steering. All modes use active slip control to prevent binding and excessive slip from front to rear. The on-road modes include Auto, Sport, Tow, Snow and Custom which allows the driver to personalise the vehicle’s performance with a selectable driving experience that offers a multitude of vehicle system combinations. Mud/Sand, Rock, and Baja modes take care of off-road expeditions. Both performance and off-road performance pages give drivers the tools to become familiar with their vehicle’s performance. Featuring for the first time on a RAM, real-time information such as timers, g-force, gauges, engine performance, ride height, pitch and roll are accessible through pages on the 7” driver’s cluster, or via the class-exclusive portrait 12” touchscreen display.
